Clifton Kok LLP has always strived to put principles first. Unprincipled legal practices lead to bad law. In this series of memes, we seek to help condominium directors and owners understand the meaning of and relationships between the principles that apply to and underlie their legal obligations, which in our view are fully captured in the idea of caring. But you will also see from the first two memes how the impetus to reinforce this idea arose largely in response to the tragic condominium shooting that occurred in December 2022 in Vaughn, Ontario, and the complex, sometimes contradictory, reactions to it that were expressed by various members of the condominium community online and elsewhere. Though not specifically related to the hashtag campaign, those memes are included here as giving both context and deeper substance to the purposes behind our emphasis on principled condominium leadership.
